Granfors Secures Dominant Victory in GB4 Championship at Silverstone

In our coverage of the recent GB4 Championship event at Silverstone, the spotlight fell on Fortec Motorsport's Linus Granfors, whose performance was nothing short of spectacular as he secured his third consecutive victory in the series.

Starting from the third position on the grid, Granfors swiftly maneuvered his way up to second place on the opening lap. Then, with a bold move, he overtook pole-sitter Finn Harrison at Maggotts on the second lap, solidifying his lead for the remainder of the race.

Granfors's dominance was evident as he stretched his lead to over seven seconds, crossing the finish line ahead of the pack. Elite Motorsport's Finn Harrison displayed remarkable resilience, securing his maiden podium finish in the GB4 Championship with a spirited drive to second place.

Arden Motorsport's Leon Wilson also celebrated his first podium finish, clinching third place after a resilient performance, despite slipping to fifth position on the opening lap.

Elite Motorsport's Alisha Palmowski staged an impressive comeback drive of her own after a stall on the opening lap. Despite starting from eighth position, she skillfully navigated her way through the field, surviving a high-speed encounter with Chloe Grant at Maggotts.

While KMR Sport's Harry Burgoyne initially secured third place on the track, a 10-second penalty for a false start relegated him to fifth in the final standings. Branden Templeton of Fox Motorsport claimed sixth place, followed by Mayer Deonarine of Graham Brunton Racing in seventh.

Brandon McCaughan of KMR Sport, despite challenging for a podium position, encountered a spin while racing Harrison and incurred a penalty for a false start, ultimately finishing in eighth place.

Graham Brunton Racing's Callum Baxter and privateer Marcus Luzio rounded off the top ten, delivering captivating performances throughout the race.

Granfors's flawless performance solidified his position at the top of the championship standings, overtaking Harry Burgoyne with a 14-point lead as the series heads into the next rounds at Donington Park.
