Abbi Pulling: A Star in the Making at F1 Academy's Austin Finale

In a display of sheer determination and skill, Abbi Pulling, the rising star from the Alpine Academy, stamped her authority in the world of motorsports at the F1 Academy finale in Austin. The British driver, racing for Rodin Carlin, wrapped up her season with a remarkable seventh podium, securing a top-five finish in the championship. The weekend at the Circuit of the Americas was nothing short of eventful for Pulling. She kicked off with a promising start, securing the second spot in Qualifying 1. This impressive performance set the stage for a front-row start in Saturday’s Race 1, followed by a challenging seventh-place start in the afternoon's reverse grid Race 2. In Qualifying 2, Pulling showcased her speed, finishing a mere four-tenths behind the leader and securing a top-five start in Sunday’s Race 3.

Saturday's race saw Pulling in a neck-and-neck battle with Championship leader Marta Garcia. Demonstrating exceptional racing acumen, she maintained a gap of less than one second from the Spaniard throughout the race, ultimately clinching second place and her seventh podium of the season.

Race 2 was a testament to Pulling's adaptability and strategic thinking. Starting seventh on the reverse grid, she skillfully navigated a tricky situation at the start, avoiding a stalled competitor. Her racecraft shone through as she executed a series of overtakes, finishing in fourth place and earning the extra point for the Fastest Lap.

However, Sunday's Race 3 posed a new challenge for Pulling. A slow start pushed her back to sixth place, where she valiantly fought to maintain her position till the end. Her consistent performances across all races culminated in her finishing fifth in the championship with 177 points.
